How much did I enjoy tonight's Agent Carter episode? The answer is A LOT.
HOW MUCH DID I ENJOY PEGGY PUNCHING HOWARD IN THE FACE? The answer is again A LOT.
(And everyone noticed the part where Howard states that his feelings for Steve are just the same as Peggy's feelings for Steve, right? CANON.)
Although probably my favorite thing this episode was the scene where Peggy's getting dinner and it turns out all the girls have their own methods of smuggling food out of the dining room for later. The one with a gravy pocket in her handbag, score! (And her neighbor at the table who was like, "Could you make me one for pickles?") See, Peggy, more signs that you should recruit them all for espionage!
Although her neighbor who knows how to break men's necks with her thighs clearly doesn't need to be recruited, as she is already all-espionage all the time. Part of Leviathan? An early Hydra recruit? Possibly sent by someone to watch over Peggy, to make sure the wrong people don't hurt her (and possibly ensure that the right people will?)
Mostly I am hoping they will team up, NGL. (Also it would be nice if I knew her name. Was that Helen?)
Finally: anyone want to take bets that the little Russian assassin girl in next week's promo is either bitty!Natasha or one of bitty!Natasha's predecessors in the Black Widow program?
OH AND I AM EXCITED FOR THE HOWLING COMMANDOES.

I never even thought of her teaming up with Peggy but now I want that. Maybe in an AU. Actually the way she fought reminded me of Natasha... maybe she's a Black Widow prototype? ETA: uh and she is a ballet dancer ok I'm sticking to this Black Widow theory now.
I am SO EXCITED for the Howling Commandos. *weeps softly*

I wonder if they realize she occasionally kills people because she wants their weapons. Maybe they consider it an acceptable malfunction?

I think what was so nice about the scene about the girls eating was that well, that it was a scene about a bunch of girls eating! That they got to have cute, chatty, friendly, useful conversations with each other, and also, like, seriously, women on tv never eat!

Because they're all talking together and they're funny and it doesn't have that competitive vibe that TV writers so often put in scenes with multiple women - like they can't imagine that women can be interesting if they're not at each other's throats? But no, they're just happily comparing their methods for sneaking food out of the hall!

And I definitely want to know more about Peggy's competent neighbor and guardian angel.

Date: 2015-01-31 03:59 pm (UTC)I was thinking of the age difference between Howard Stark and Tony Stark, if they're father and son. If Howard here is, what, 30? (Or do you think he's younger?) And it's 1946, then how old was he when Tony was born, if Tony is, say, 40 (?) in the present of the movies. (Let's say that present is 2014. If Tony is 40 in 2014, that means he was born in 1974, which means that Howard would have been 58 ... which I guess does happen.
