This story is quite different from anything I've written before, which is perhaps the point of Yuletide (well, that and getting awesome and obscure fics). I think I may have overdone it with the similes.
Anyway, to celebrate I baked my Super Special Awesome Chocolate Cookie recipe, which makes sinfully awesome chocolate cookies. And by sinfully awesome, I don't mean that you eat one and it's so rich and decadent you can't eat anything else all day; I mean that you eat one, and it's rich and decadent and you are completely incapable of not eating a dozen more.
Super Special Awesome Chocolate Cookies a la Jin
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 eggs
4 oz. (a heaping 1/2 cup) chocolate chips, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (white) chocolate chips
Cream butter, sugar, and cocoa until they all look the same. Add eggs and beat till everything looks the same. Melt chocolate, add, and beat until everything looks the same. Set chocolate cup aside to lick later. At vanilla and mix; add dry ingredient and mix; add (white) chocolate chips.
Chill for at least 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake cookies on parchment lined cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Hold on the cookie sheet 10 minutes after they come out of the oven.
Try not to eat all the cookies before your friends arrive.
The recipe make 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies.
