I have my Yuletide assignment! I have my Yuletide assignment! It is an awesome assignment and I am happy.

And I've sent in my first grad school application! (Eek!)

And the grocery had these AMAZING sharp cheddar cheese samples yesterday, oh my God, I must have eaten about a dozen and then I succumbed to temptation and bought a block. I want to get port wine and make the most awesome Welsh rarebit ever.

When I was little, my mom made Welsh rarebit for us. I was appalled. I though it was Welsh RABBIT. I cried coming to the table. A bunny? Really? How could you, mother!

And then...no rabbit. No bunny! Just yummy melted cheese.

I think she let me labor under my delusion so that, no matter how it turned out, I would be so grateful I'd LOVE it!

OMG my life was changed when I discovered there were more cheeses than "yellow" and "american"...a sharp white cheddar is amazing. Also? Feta.

I first had sharp white cheddar in England at my homestay. They served it with port wine, and OMG. People make fun of English food, but they really know their cheese.
