You don't know Northanger Abbey? It's only the most awesome novel Jane Austen ever wrote! An affectionate mockery of Gothic fiction!

I'm not surprised you don't know Dostana, but you should totally watch it. It's a Bollywood movie about two guys who pretend to be gay in order to rent an apartment, only to learn that there's a brilliant, beautiful girl already living there, with whom they inevitably fall in love, which naturally leads to the two guys kissing in front of a concert hall full of people.

And Yuletide is only the most awesome rare fandom fic exchange EVER. The FAQ is here (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/faq.shtml), but basically people sign up to receive a fic - they can make four requests, and will be assigned to someone who has offered to write one of those fandoms - and in return, write a fic for someone else.

It's basically amazing. People have been gearing up for it since September.

I nominated I Capture the Castle, Sunshine, and Joe Abercrombie's Best Served Cold - I nominated what I wanted to write rather than receive (although I would love to receive any of them).

The new nomination system put the fear of god in lazybones like us, didn't it?

But actually, I like the new system - I like the way that everyone teamed up to make sure that everything, or nearly everything, got nominated. Yuletide has such great community spirit!
