Houston! We have daffodils!
I can't be entirely sure the daffodils are a new development, mind; I'm not a terribly observant person. To wit: today I said to my dad, "You got your beard trimmed!"
"Why yes," said he. "On Saturday."
Reader, he bore a certain resemblance to Santa Claus before he went to the barber. It's simply insupportable that I didn't notice the trim until now.
But nonetheless: daffodils! Fat and bright and yellow, glowing with self-satisfaction in the dusk.
