As for old, yes: I recall when I turned 22. It was in Japan, and a semi-gangster guy told me that women were over the hill when they turned 22 :-P

Palindromic, true, and all the best ages are palindromic and divisible by eleven. I have very fond memories of eleven...

I remember in Zilpha Keatley Snyder's The Changeling the main characters agree that eleven is the best age for nearly everything. I was eleven when I read that and quite in agreement.

I keep meaning to write a review about how awesome awesome awesome that book is, because the world will be a better place if even one more person reads it, except it's hard to put into words how amazing it is. But someday! It will happen!

Yes! I loved Ivy so much, and identified with her (though I didn't have her troubled home life).
