A friend and I went to the park yesterday, the park with the creek crossed by a pair of arched stone bridges with wide, walkable rails.
As it was sunny and sixty degrees, the park teemed with tiny children, and we discussed the possibility that walking the rails might set a bad example for them.
Then we decided that not doing something because it might set a bad example for the children was a sign of the irredeemable corruption of adulthood, and of course then we had to walk the rails - three times over.

Date: 2010-03-25 05:20 pm (UTC)I think kids should 'walk the rails' of life. Parents keep their offspring waaaaay too sheltered these days. I'm not saying to be irresponsible, but glory-be, people! A child who never takes a chance turns into an adult who has no idea how to make her own dreams come true!
