About one in three? Lots of old favorites, though. Bread and Jam for Frances <3
oh, and the Stephanie Wellen Levine book about Hasidic girls is one of my all-time favorites! Reads like a novel.

Bread and Jam for Frances, <3 indeed! I was so delighted to see that one on the list. Her little set-up with the doily and the salt and pepper packets and all the rest has lived in my head rent-free since I was very small.

I have not managed to go full Bread and Jam for Frances on my lunches (she even had a little vase of violets!) but I do spread a little napkin on my desk to put my food on and it makes me feel very Frances-y.

There is a farmer's market on campus starting in May, and I've been thinking about getting a little vase of fresh flowers from time to time, and if I keep it in the office over Friday I COULD perhaps approximate her little vase of violets, even...
