I was forced to read The Golden Goblet in middle school because the rest of the class were reading The Egypt Game and I made the mistake of saying that I'd already read it (but would have loved to read it again!) I didn't like it at the time either but it's very possible that this was just resentment from not getting to reread The Egypt Game ....
