Laurent is SO obsessed with Aymar's hair. I just got to the part where the doctor decides to cut it off and Laurent barely restrains himself from howling "NO!" Cutting Aymar's bracken-colored hair... the sacrilege... it lies like fallen autumn leaves across his pillow after it's cut... Not sure if Laurent secreted some away to put into a locket or possibly braid into a friendship bracelet but if he could he probably WOULD.
So far Broster is the only 1920s Boys Love author I know (well, Violet Jacob, maybe?), but I'm sure there are others out there.
