Still reeling from the fact that Mary Renault based Peter Bracknell on her lover, when Peter Bracknell in the book attempts to seduce both Leo AND Helen to try to cure or at least understand their lesbian love affair. Is that part drawn from life?

On the bright (?) side, Faderman's afterword has pretty well moved Faderman's books off my TBR list. She seems to feel Renault's bisexuality is a personal affront, which suggests to me that her books probably won't deal too well with bisexuality as a whole.
