Oh poor Amy, omg. A version of that happened to me once, though I coped (I'd had a party only a few weeks before with plenty of people) - all the people invited by me didn't come, but my housemate's friends did, so I had to hang out with them and be chill. I coped... but ate and drank more than I would've otherwise, lol.
