Meg/Laurie....oh my. Well, he is the one who reproves her about being made into a "doll" so he's kind of like Brook in that respect! Hmmm, maybe it could be written as Laurie's mockery of Brook's courtship is due to jealousy, not teasing. (Also, on rereading, some of Laurie's teasing is honestly kind of nasty.)
