Possibly the marriage was supposed to cure Frink's unconscious homosexuality? Also, Frink's supposed "unconscious homosexuality" appears to consist mainly of this phantasy (of which Frink is also unaware! a phantasy that Freud has made up for him!) of making Freud a rich man.
I suspect Freud diagnosed Frink with unconscious homosexuality specifically for the purpose of pushing Frink into this marriage which would enable Frink to give Freud a lot of money.
