The book stops at a very convenient place for Ian & Olivia. I can well believe that *they* think this changes everything, but I'm struggling to imagine Ian's father (who practically went into a transport of rage at the fact that Ian could even THINK of marrying Olivia) is going to go, "Oh, well if she's adopted, then it doesn't matter that she was raised by the man who PRACTICALLY MURDERED YOUR BROTHER (WHO WAS MY FAVORITE CHILD AND WOULD NEVER HAVE MARRIED THE ADOPTED DAUGHTER OF A MAN WHO MURDERED YOU)."
