Imre is not the most substantial as a novel, no, although the part with the letters and Oswald's obliviousness about them is wonderfully sweet :D The various terminology is very interesting to see, I think—I do like the bit early on where Oswald is wondering about Imre and goes, 'What was he???' before listing a load of different contemporary sexuality terms in a jumble.
