It's an interesting ending because it's simultaneously satisfying and very much not so. It's satisfying in that Freya has answers and is finally beginning to move on with her life, which more or less got stuck when Stella died... but the answers are incorrect! Or only partially correct, anyway. Does it matter SO much that it wasn't specifically Corey who killed Stella when she was murdered at Byrne Hall and Corey, although not a murderer, really did lock her in an attic without food or water for twenty-four hours? It kind of does! But also maybe not so much?
