Taam is absolutely that guy who is an asshole to people at parties and expects his significant other to smooth it all over. And then gets mad when Jainan cannot, in fact, smooth it all over, and believes that it's because Jainan is a human interaction failure when in fact it is because Taam is asking the impossible.
There is really nothing to stop me from publishing "Care and Feeding" today, except the vague feeling that the title could be better, but sometimes... the title you have is just the title you have... and "then I could buy myself Winter's Orbit!" IS a strong inducement.
Plus Winter's Orbit itself has kind of a random title, which surely proves that the title isn't THAT important.
