A shiny new australia?

Internet's been a bit fritzy for the past week; hence the posting lull. Woe!

However, I have been using my non-internet time in profitable ways, like finally starting that Australia trip scrapbook that I meant to start right after I tripped to Australia, which was, um. Four years ago. I've been busy! So I've been reading my journal from the time, which is mostly amusing although occasionally I am a little too obviously delighted by my own cleverness.

I kind of want to title the scrapbook "A Shiny New Australia." Never mind that doesn't make sense as a scrapbook title, unless the scrapbook was secretly a coded guide to WORLD (or at least AUSTRALIA) DOMINATION.

I think it's Sydney? But I'm not quite sure. It's been a long time since I took the pictures.

We went to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and in NZ Christchurch and Auckland. Brisbane was one of my favorite cities, even though we were only there a couple of days; great weather, and we ate at a lovely restaurant called Jo-Jo's where I had Turkish bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar.

i've also been awol from lj lately (*waves*) mostly because school has been eating my brain. in a good-for-me, educational way. :P but i'm still have a bit to do before reading and editing your fic, and i'm really sorry about that!

Don't worry about it! It's a good thing for me to take a break from the fic before I go back and noodle at it. I find it painful to edit things too soon after I finished writing them, the stories seem too much a part of me for me to view flaws as something I could fix rather than as a sign that I am A FAILURE AT LIFE OH WOE.
