Yeah! They were such an interesting bunch of people - I didn't have room for it in the article, but Fannie Caldwell went to teach kindergarten in Japan because her marriage failed and she wanted to get out of Louisville after her scandalous divorce. (In The Lady of the Decoration, her marriage still failed but her dissipated husband conveniently died.)
