She-Ra: season one

I really meant to stop after episode eleven of She-Ra so I could write another reaction post and also spread out the pleasure of watching the show, but in the event we were too caught up to stop and went straight on through to the end.
How much did I love the episode with the simulations of tiny!Catra and tiny!Adora? THIS MUCH. Although it crushed my heart when it just made Catra madder and madder, because she saw it as a record of how she’s always been second best to Adora, till the end of the episode when Adora is hanging off the cliff and Catra slices off the cords she’s hanging onto so she falls. CATRA WHY.
I mean I realize that if they want to have more seasons they could hardly have Catra see the light and defect to the rebellion so soon, buuuut on the other hand there are only so many times she can lay waste to the planet before any Catra redemption is going to feel hollow, because why would anyone but Adora forgive her, you know? And even Adora might eventually hit her limit if, say, Catra succeeded in killing Glimmer or Bow.
Re: forgiveness - I’m also super curious see how the other princesses react once they realize Entrapta is a) alive, but b) working for the Horde, because Catra gave her access to all these cool new technological toys and Entrapta is congenitally incapable of thinking beyond WOO SHINY to “but maybe draining the energy out of the entire planet is a bad idea?”
On a lighter note, SUPER entertained by Scorpia’s giant crush on Catra (“Do you want me to nurse you tenderly back to health?”) and the fact that Catra is just Not Having It. She had one friend once and it was terrible and she’s not doing it again!
(But actually it would be great if in a future season Scorpia was In Peril and Catra realizes that she kind of sort of isn’t totally indifferent to Scorpia’s welfare, NO THIS IS NOT A REASON FOR A HUG, SCORPIA.)
