THE FAMOUS STANLEY KIDNAPPING CASE, OMG. I loved that book, although you're totally right, it's a pretty random direction for a sequel to take. But I loved the Italian setting and I loved the way the kidnapping throws them all practically in each other's laps so they have to not only get through the kidnapping itself but put up with each other in very close quarters.
I'm pretty sure I read Janie's Private Eyes and I THINK I read Blair's Nightmare, but I don't remember any specifics or anything about them really except a vague sense of disappointment because they weren't quite as good.
