The New Cafe on the Block
May. 31st, 2009 12:18 amI have found a new cafe. It has a mezzanine that overlooks the cafe counter, and a Make Your Own Trail Mix station (with wasabi peas!), and one barista with dreads and another with holes in his earlobes the size of half-dollars.
Also, my sandwich was tasty. It was a small for the price, but it had good tomatoes that were all the way red instead of red-rimmed with tasteless stringy white inside. So there is a balancing act there.
I haven't tried the hot chocolate yet, which is the real litmus test of any cafe. But the menu says they make it with steamed milk, and that is promising.
So I will sally forth again tomorrow, and return with photographs.

Sometimes when I go to Subway & I see the tomatoes they have all sliced up there, I just opt not to get them on my sandwich.
