Houston, We Have Sproutation
May. 2nd, 2009 06:16 pmMy spinach seeds have sprouted: delicate green tentacles capped by the seed husk. They're strangely cute. I am already looking forward to eating them.
The entire campus is sprouting, finally, all of a sudden like it does in Wisconsin. Yesterday when I went to sleep we had only some lonely daffodils and flocks of wood violets, but this morning I wake up and the tree outside my window is covered with buds. The tulips are straining to open, and there's a sparrow beating at the window: sparrows everywhere.
Springtime in Wisconsin makes me happy.
