Book shopping

osprey_archerI had to go back to my hometown for my yearly doctor's check-up yesterday, and I spent the rest of the day eating ice cream and traipsing around town visiting the used bookstores, where I had GREAT SUCCESS, because in the first one I found Dorothy Sayers' Busman's Honeymoon! Which brings me up to the three out of four of her Harriet Vane/Peter Wimsey books, although unfortunately I can't read it yet because the one I am missing is the second one in the sequence - the second is always the worst to find; I've been looking for the second book in Pamela Dean's Secret Country trilogy for ages...
EXCEPT NOW I FOUND IT!!!! Waiting for me peacefully in the second bookstore that I visited! And in the nice Firebird edition, too, so all three books of my books match!!!!
...I actually probably won't read that for a bit either, because a) I've got some books from the library I need to read first, and b) next weekend is THE WEDDING, a.k.a. my friend Rachel's wedding in Chicago, which I daresay will be fun once I actually get there but which I am at the moment dreading because I'm worried about catching my trains.
("When did worry ever help anyone?" my doctor asked, when I pointed out that I came from a long line of worriers and probably have a totally skewed view of what a normal amount of worry is. "When did a family history of congenital heart disease ever help anyone?" I thought, but did not say.)
But I have next Sunday & Monday off, and I'll be back in my hometown for that, so I can laze about the house and rest and badger my brother into watching the new season of Agents of SHIELD with me. So that will be relaxing.
