I think you would enjoy it! Most of the utopian reformers are charmingly eccentric with (occasionally heart-breakingly) outsize optimism.
Plus, I don't know if you have any feelings about the Transcendentalists, but if you do, then the Fourierism chapter has some wonderful material about Brook Farm and Ralph Waldo Emerson being his snarky self.
