I'll have to listen to that at some point! The Muppets make everything better. I still think that Muppet Treasure Island is the best Treasure Island adaptation ever.
Yeah, the costumes and a lot of the action are very stylized and stagy in a way that clashes with the setting in the ruins. I think they would have done better to either make it look at least a little more period, or to choose a location that didn't draw quite as much attention to itself.
