I haven't read this pirate-less eyepatch book, but I share your disappointment. Why even bring pirates into it if it's going to be a pirate-free experience?
Ladybug Girl looks adorable. I might pick a couple of those up for the store when I get the chance. We just got a giant donation of Berenstain Bears books and. . . they're really kind of awful. I hated them as a child, but I thought I was just being difficult.
