Happy things, Day 4
Dec. 18th, 2008 11:06 pmToday I bought two books: The Zombie Survival Guide, which is going to be a Christmas present (it is going to be a Christmas present. I will give it away, I will, I will, I will) and The Year of Living Biblically, which is for me, although I may lend it out to random people.
It's about a fellow in New York who decided to spend a year trying to follow all the commandments in the Bible as literally as possible, which may sound dull but is actually fascinating. I'm tempted to follow in his footsteps.
On the other hand I'm hoping to spend a semester in England next year, and I'm not sure I could deal with being "the weird American girl who is either crazy Christian or possible Hasidic, we're not sure which, but she refuses to wear pants and always says a grace before eating and also she has that funny Amish bonnet thing going on," for yea, my susceptibility to peer pressure is infinite as the stars. Otherwise I would never have forsaken the leggings I wore until eighth grade for jeans, which are the most useless pants in existence.
And now I must go read more.

Date: 2008-12-20 08:04 pm (UTC)Also? I once had a dream where zombies took over the world. My coworkers and I were holed up in the BK where I worked at the time, but the zombies were overly interested in, you know, pre-killed food.
