A Certain Slant of Light

I think they've got the *tenor* wrong for Jane Eyre. Pride and Prejudice could do the translation to this format because of the nature of the story, but Jane Eyre has more broodingness, more repression, more mad wives in the attic... It's interesting in its own way, but it seems much less connected to the original story (if I can say that after only dipping into a few episodes).
