Free to a good home
Mar. 4th, 2013 08:21 amFree to a good home: a couple of story ideas, inspired by photos I took this weekend. (I have the odd feeling that life sped up this weekend. I have a stack of entries inspired by things that happened during it.)

It is a bracelet! A bracelet dangling keys! What is it for? Does the chatelaine wear it, to keep her keys safe? Was it a gift to a little girl - a bequest from a dying grandmother, perhaps - and she has to figure out what the keys open?
And what do they open? Doors to other worlds, I would think; or drawers of rare and precious things.

A homeless robot family! Wandering America, searching for jobs: somehow I see this as a Depression-era period piece. Who made them, and why? How to people feel about them? A thought for a plot: Ma and Pa Robot need to find a piece to repair Junior.

(I messed up the link to the story the first time, so I deleted the comment & redid it.)
