Thank you so much for writing for me! I’m really pretty easy to please: I like slash, femmeslash, het, OT3s, gen, wacky hijinks, random geektastic joy...I'm not a big fan of AUs or crossovers, though.
This is Yuletide so I’m not really looking for tragedy and despair, but I do love deliciously bittersweet fic. However, fluff and rainbows and happy endings are fine too!
I'm also fine with holiday stories. Aside from BSC I don't think these fandoms really lend themselves to Christmas stories, but if you want to do some other holiday, that's just lovely. I could totally see Eugenides getting up to hijinks at some Attolian festival, especially if it involves masks.
Likes:
• Characters who understand each other, even if they sometimes drive each other up the wall
• Characters who are passionate about something (aside from just each other) – who love their work, their art, their stamp-collecting, anything
• Pining, especially if its resolved in the course of the fic
• Friendship
• Loyalty, especially characters doing stupidly amazing things out of loyalty for each other
• Banter
• A sense of place
• Hurt/comfort fics
• Cuddling
• “Five things…” stories

1. Baby Sitter’s Club
Characters: Claudia Kishi, Ashley Wyeth
I love Ashley and Claudia! I always felt that Ashley got Claudia in a way that the other BSC members, wonderful though they are, just couldn’t because they weren’t artists. I love that Ashley is so smart and so dedicated to her art and so driven, and Claudia more scatterbrained and social but still, in her way, dedicated to her art as well. They’re so different yet so similar, and it makes beautiful sparks.
I'd love a story where Ashley and Claudia meet again, maybe in high school or college, and discuss art. Or go painting in the park or at the zoo. Or just have coffee together. And possibly make out.
Oh pairing of my heart! I’ve shipped Claudia and Ashley since before I knew what shipping was, and any fic where they get together will make me clap like a seal. I was always sorry that Ashley didn’t show up in more BSC books – she’s only in #12 and #85 – because I loved her interactions with Claudia so much.
I also love all the other BSC members, so if any of them show up – especially Mal or Mary Anne – I will squeal with joy. One of the thing I love about the series is the strength of the girls’ friendship. How does Claudia stay in touch with her fellow BSCers now that she’s grown up?
Finally, I love art history, so if they end up geeking out about the Impressionists or Vincent Van Gogh or Japanese art (I know nothing about Japanese art, so if you do go for it!), I might just die of happiness. Or they could paint or sculpt together, or walk around looking for subjects, or...anything you want!
2. Dostana
Characters: Neha, Sam, Kunal
I love the chemistry these three have together, either as friends or as an OT3. I'd love a story about the fun the three of them had together while Sam and Kunal were still living in Neha's apartment. The song montages show them getting up to all kinds of crazy awesome things together, and I'd love to read about that.
Alternatively, I’d love a post-movie fic where they realize their latent OT3 potential. Maybe Neha can repay them for the wonderful dates they took her on (amusement park! At night!) with some amazing plan of her own?
I love this movie so much! These three are so obviously meant for each other; their friendship and possibly eventually OT3ness fills me with joy. And the movie is so effortlessly, effervescently joyful and silly and full of brilliant song and dance montages. Like so:
The chemistry between all three leads! The awesomeness of Neha! - "Why yes," her dancing says, "I am the hottest girl in the world."
Finally, if neither of the prompts from my sign-up are doing it for you, I've thought of another possibility: Kunal and Neha come down with something or other, and Sam has to make use of his mad nursing skills. Kunal and Neha get "I am awesome at my job!" moments in the movie; let's give one to Sam, too!
3. Queen’s Thief – Megan Whalen Turner
Characters: Costis, Eugenides, Attolia
Another series of my heart! I love the setting and the gods (and the stories within the story about the gods!) and the politics and most of all, the characters: Eugenides’ wit and trickery, and Attolia’s general imperious toughness, and Costis’ sense of duty and honor.
I adore the relationships between the characters, particularly Attolia/Gen: it’s this wonderful, compelling combination and adorable and FULL OF TRUST ISSUES. I also think Costis has a ridiculous adorable crush on Gen, so if you can write Costis/Gen that would be amazing, especially if you can make it make sense with Gen/Attolia.
If none of this floats your boat, then Eugenides Does Something Stupid and has to be rescued by his queen and/or his faithful bodyguard is probably good for endless entertainment.
I adore this series endlessly: the style, sparse but evocative, the ancient/Renaissance/AU Greece setting, the characters and the shifting permutations of their relationships, both personal and political – I love the intertwining of personal and political loyalty in these stories.
OH THE LOYALTY. Write anything about any of these characters being stupidly loyal to each other, and I will probably jump up and down shrieking with glee.
One further thought: if you do go the Gen/Costis route, I’d be interested how Gen and Attolia work that out. Their relationship is fairly freighted with trust issues: how would they deal with that?
I also love basically all the minor characters in this series, so if Eddis or Sophos or the Magus or Relius or…anyone, really…shows up, it will fill me with joy.
