I've read Wren and I tend to agree with your assessment of it. I think it's not so much a process of maturation (she wrote Crown Duel when she was twenty, which makes me feel like a slacker--obviously she rewrote a lot, but still) as she's more passionate about the books in the Crown Duel universe, so the work is better & more passionate.
I think you'll like Crown Duel a lot. The others are a bit more of a toss-up.
