Five Questions Meme

1) If you could meet one author or historical figure (whether living or not), who would it be and why?
I'm always torn about questions like this, because on the one hand it would be awesome to meet, say, Jane Austen or Emily Dickinson. But I'm pretty sure Austen would be all, "You are insufficiently witty to be worth my time," and Dickinson wouldn't even come meet me, and that would be super depressing.
Maybe Zilpha Keatley Snyder - her books meant a whole lot to me when I was a child (I mean, they still do, but not as immediately) and I feel that she would be approachable.
2) If you could invite seven people to a dinner party (real or fictional) who would they be and why?
Honestly? I would probably gather together a bunch of my friends, who don't necessarily know each other but have a lot in common and therefore would probably like each other. Giving a dinner party for a bunch of illustrious strangers would probably give me vapors.
3) Who would you say has been the most influential person in your life? Why?
Definitely my parents. (No, I'm not going to pick just one.)
4) What is your most treasured possession?
If my house was burning down I would probably grab my laptop: not only is it the most expensive thing I own, but it holds all my photos and stories etc.
Though it would be painful letting my great-great aunt's copy of Anne of Green Gables burn.
And I'm going to give question 5, What are the top five most influential/life-changing movies/books you have seen/read? Why? it's own post, because I am totally unable to write short answers about books and movies.
