Sep. 19th, 2010 10:44 pmWOE, for I am SICK, in a "too sick to play tag with eight-year-olds but not sick enough to miss class" sort of way. WOE. GREAT WOE.
I have been comforting myself in my woe with a) tea; b) Scrubs; and c) performing my semi-irregular icon sweep, when I look at my icons, keen in boredom, and replace half of them with beautiful new ones like this vintage Halloween icon. Which has a kitty. And pumpkins! I love Halloween.
But! Tragically! All my old favorite icon makers seem to be on hiatus! And it's impossible to find new ones because LJ has revamped its search system so it's useless. (LJ's current plan appears to involve BREAKING OUR SPIRITS. I am not sure where they went to business school.)
So. First: what icon makers or icon communities do you like? I use stock icons mainly.
Second: Photoshop. My school has it free on a few computers. Would it be worth it for me to try shrinking and chopping a few of my photos into icons, or would the effort to figure out how to do that destroy my spirit even more swiftly than the LJ search system?
Alternatively, will Photoshop prove so addictive that I'll flunk my senior year of college, which would certainly solve the "WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY LIFE?" quandary (flip burgers), but I think a pros/cons list for potential jobs might work too and would certainly be less traumatizing?
And lastly, does anyone have an opinion which types of tea have the best cold-zapping action? Because my nose is running a marathon here and I don't appreciate it.
