osprey_archerSnow day today! So I baked bread! Yeast bread, I mean; the intimidating kind. It's surprisingly easy to bake bread! And delicious! I will do it again sometime.
And then I watched The Eagle, about which more anon (it's not nearly as good as the book it's based on. Surprise, surprise), and walked to the post office to send it back to Netflix, and wrote a couple letters and watched some episodes of Sliders (about which also more anon. They had an episode set in a matriarchal world! It did not suck nearly as much as I feared! This show is surprisingly good) and walked to the post office again, and then I took a nap.
Excellent day.

And then there's another scene where it turns out Esca hasn't betrayed Marcus to the Seal Warriors after all, and Marcus gets all choked up and is all "I thought I lost you!"
Yes. It is the slashiest movie EVERTY-EVER. It's worth seeing for that alone even though the plot does not, in fact, make any sense.
(And the book is totally slashy too. THE BOOK IS AWESOME. SUTCLIFF FOREVER!)
