osprey_archerI finally made it to Mall of America last weekend! I know, I know, it only took me six months in Minnesota to get around to it. What can I say, I move at a dilatory pace.
They have a Peeps store.
Yes! An entire store devoted to marshmallows covered in a thin layer of colored sugar! We didn't actually go inside so I can't give you the low-down on how they've managed to fill an entire store - I can only presume there are a lot more Peep varieties than there were back when I ate Peeps - but still. A marshmallow STORE.
There's a milliner's shop too.
Best hat EVER? I think yes.
And then we had lunch at a place called Tiger Sushi. We got salmon kushiyaki, which is salmon skewered and marinated in something (miso, I think?) and grilled, and DELICIOUS.
And I bought a stack of postcards. It was a good day.

I did see the new milliner store though I didn't go in. It looked cute, I'll have to check it out next time!

Date: 2012-02-13 06:55 pm (UTC)I figure the Peeps store is at MOA because, well, where else would you put a shop devoted to nothing but tiny edible marshmallow creatures? Disney World, maybe. There can't be many places.
I really liked the sushi place. Oh, and we went to the American Girl store! We didn't get anything there - I don't have any of my American Girl things anymore - but it was like a blast from my childhood. I remember looking through those catalogues and wanting soooo much to have tea at an American Girl store.
