My recent burst of American Girl obsession has borne fruit! My coworker, who is in charge of volunteer activities and organizing things, has decided to start an American Girl book club. We're probably going to read Kit Kittredge, the Depression-era girl reporter. Because she is awesome!

And also because there's a movie, which makes a good tie-in activity.

But mostly because she's awesome and the Depression is fascinating (and, given the current state of the economy, thematically appropriate).

So see! See! I should obsess about things more often. Good things come of it!

I asked my other flister about the American Girl project she was doing, & she said it was kaput since she is no longer within walking distance of the library. :(

I encouraged her to post what notes she already had, though. I hopefully she will!

Aw. Well, I may do a post on Kit Kittredge, as I'll be reading it anyway.

And possibly on the new series, as well. The desire to read them won't go away, and I figure, why fight it?
