Book Review: Among Others

I've read, I've read, I've read Jo Walton's Among Others this evening - I meant to pause for dinner, I meant to do my homework, I meant to rescue my dying computer but instead I read and read and read.
It's wonderful! It's about - everything - it's about a landscape imbued with magic, and fairies that seem like plants, and science fiction and fantasy and I haven't read any of the books they talk about, and expect it would be a million times better if I had, but if it were a million times better it might have actually killed me, so.
But I know those kinds of conversations, which range all over everything and feel so much more real than the small talk that fills the everyday - they are so wonderfully evoked here.
