Shalwar Kameez OMG

I just got the best present ever! My friend Tasmia brought me back a shalwar kameez from Bangladesh! It's blue and green and it has an accompanying scarf and is WONDERFUL.
Unfortunately it's going to be about five degrees tomorrow and I would freeze, but otherwise I would totally wear it to class tomorrow.
Also, I have a new job: helping out at the ESL class for the Japanese exchange students. They have this great habit - every time they aren't quite sure how to say what they want to in English - of saying "Oooooooooooooo" in the appropriate intonation: admiring, happy, commiserating, whatever. If I ever get to Russia I must remember this trick.

Also, your remark about the ESL class reminded me of this entry (http://shikuchi.livejournal.com/137497.html) ** of
**(... which I hesitate to call attention to because of, as she puts it, the racefaily element, but if you ignore his fake Japanese accent...........)
