Back to school

Back at school. Have decided to make a second New Year's resolution: this year I'm going to keep my dorm room neat, because it's easier to think when I don't have stacks of things threatening to fall over and bury me.
Also, I've finally hit on an idea for my capstone project. I'm going to look at girls (aged eight to eighteen) and the creative drive around the turn of the century, mainly through the medium of their letters and submissions to St. Nicholas magazine (the premier children's magazine of the time. My school has the full run). I think it will be ace.
And with this academic dispensation, I've requested The House Without Windows through interlibrary loan. My life is pretty sweet.

I had communications with a book editor about that article about The House Without Windows. While she's not going to try to reissue it, she did say she'd be writing to a friend of hers about it, another editor whom she thought might be the sort of person who might do it. *fingers crossed*
