Renaissance Fair!

Well, actually, when I was a child we always went to the Feast of the Hunter's Moon - which would be an amazing title for something, now that I look at it - which was a reenactment of an old fur-trading post. No jousting! - but it had rocky candy and the most delicious roast chicken and French voyageurs, Indians, a fife and drum corps, and a really rather anachronistic corps of British redcoats. I guess most Americans assume that everything in between 1620 (Pilgrims!) and 1776 (independence!) is pretty interchangeable.
