Jin at 12

On my last post there was some discussion about whether or not I was twelve in the picture with the dog. Just to clear things up: that's a current photo. This is what I looked like when I was twelve:

Note the characteristic frown. (And the hand motion, if you can see it.) It's not that I was unhappy, I just hadn't cottoned on to the fine art of sociable smiling, and therefore walked around with the air of an encroaching thundercloud. I am really far better socialized than anyone would have had any right to expect at the time.
