I've been reading back covers (do you know it's been ages since I've really read back covers? I've got so many books on my to-read list that I rarely need to browse anymore) so I hope that's helped step up my cover copy game.

My hope is that people will look at this cover and go "That looks extremely sixties spy story."

I need to get the proof copy in to see how the colors look when they're printed, but if all goes well, it should be coming out in early September.

In other news, I've bogged down in the m/m magical pets story I was working on, so I'm poking at some new ideas & may send you something in the next few days. Currently resisting the urge to center the story around this bat-winged rabbit (a.k.a. rabbat).

The rabbit sneezed.

"I think," said Mark, and his heart began to beat faster, "I'm going to have to take you to Gabriel."

(Will Mark arrive just in time to help Gabriel sew up his gashed arm after Gabriel's orphaned baby griffin got just a little too playful? MAYBE.)
