I need an Agent Carter icon so bad

Agent Carter tonight! It did not knock me in the id quite like last week's episode, but then, they clearly had to set things up for the grand finale next week (and I think it's perhaps a good sign that they described it as the season rather than series finale? Perhaps it means they'll consider season 2? MAYBE MAYBE?)

- I am kind of sad we didn't get to see more of the interrogation, although I realize that my feeling about interrogations is irrevocably colored by my affection for the movie Sophie Scholl, which is basically two solid hours of interrogation. A television show doesn't have that kind of time.

- The moment where Peggy sums up their attitudes toward her, when she describes Sousa's opinion - she went from being his "woman on a pedestal to Howard Stark's daft whore," or something like that - God, I loved that moment. Because she's completely nailed his reaction.

- I was briefly certain that Souza was going to buy it, so I was sort of relieved when Chief Dooley ended up dying instead (although I could eat all of my words next episode! They could kill everyone! Except Peggy and Howard and Jarvis, we know they go on to live long and productive lives.)

- Speaking of Howard Stark, I'm glad Jarvis had a moment of "OH MY GOD Howard sucks," because if he didn't then I was going to have to. I'm really curious how Howard is going to worm his way back into Jarvis's good graces and convince him to continue as butler (obviously this is not something the finale will have time to focus on), because at this point Howard's got a lot of 'splaining to do. And also I think Jarvis is getting a taste for espionage.

- Maybe Jarvis led a double life throughout Tony's childhood? Butler by day, spy by night? Or possibly the other way 'round, given the hours Howard likely keeps.

Okay, given the hours Howard likely keeps, there is no way Jarvis would have time to do both things. He will clearly have to quit espionage and settle down at some point. :(

- And I think we know now what went wrong at the battle that wasn't a battle. The Russian soldiers all killed each other under the influence of the Aerosol Spray of Evil, at which point Howard presumably went WHAT HAVE I DONE. And then...didn't destroy the Aerosol Spray of Evil. Why did you put all these inventions in a vault, Howard? Why not just destroy them? WHY?

Looking forward to next week!

I felt about the Suicide Vest of Burning Torture the way you did about the Aerosol of Evil--I found myself thinking, whoa, how did they discover all the things about it that Jarvis is rattling off.... I sure hope they tested this on crash test dummies and not people because otherwise!!!!

With the Aerosol of Evil, I think there was a bit of a problem in that they let it empty itself out in the movie theater... so how are they going to reconstruct it (if that's their goal?) Or was that revenge for all the Russian soldiers who died that time? That was harsh :( (.... also... thinking strategically, and also about well-crafted revenge... wouldn't it be better to take that to a military base? Killing random people in a movie theater is great for terrorism but....)

I liked the line "They might get hurt. There will be a spray of glass" followed by "We might get hurt. There will be a spray of bullets." That was cute. And yes, the lines about being invisible to people if she didn't have their lunches or coffee...

Presumably Howard used test dummies. I'm just wondering why, having made a prototype that so clearly didn't work, he didn't take it apart and build another one.

I'm assuming there was more than one canister of the Aerosol of Evil in that crate, so maybe the theater was a test run? They wanted to make sure it still worked before they released it in Times Square (or somewhere equally public).

Or if not take it apart, disable it in some way!

Good point about there probably being more of the Aerosol of Evil in the crate.
