Yes, the little squirrel shouts "It's true! It's true!" when the White Witch insists that Father Christmas couldn't possibly have come. Poor little squirrel... I hope Aslan finds that little stone grouping and brings them back to life again.

I never had the good fortune to encounter an actual wardrobe when I was wardrobe-entering age, and closets never held forth the suggestion of magic. But when I encounter mysterious doors I do always check them, just in case.
