The problem with an author with great range is that sometimes the author's range and mine only have a certain amount of overlap. The worst is when you love one book from an author, and you love it so much that you keep trying others, and NONE of them speak to you. I can't tell you how many Patrice Kindl books I read before concluding that she was never again going to write The Woman in the Wall...
