Yes, it would do no good if he tells them "She's suffering from vampires!" and they laugh him out of the room. Perhaps if he hedged a little and told them she was suffering from a vampire bat? I feel like a blood-sucking animal might strain their belief less severely than a blood-sucking magical centuries-old human.

Jean and Company was a delight! I only wished the illustrations had more folk costume detail.
