At least joining the cause just means giving a few drops of blood, and not going on a big perilous quest? I like to think that if I turned out to have the power to see and hear minor deities from some mythology to which I had no emotional attachment, I too would be willing to give a little blood to bring them back in the world.

...OTOH, do we really WANT to Greek gods coming back in the world? (And by extension the similarly frisky gods from many other mythologies.) Perhaps it is JUST AS WELL they are no longer here to cause mischief.
