It's characteristic of LMA that the most interesting characters are also the one who feel most potentially queer. IIRC Nan and Nat get married (not to each other) in the sequel, but in my heart Nan is a lady doctor with a dashing girlfriend (also characteristic of LMA is the fact that none of the girls seem quite suitable to pair Nan up with), and ofc Nat and Dan are so in love.
